Opportunity for Sharp Law Student
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented person to join us part-time, to help ensure our documentation and databases are in perfect order.
MoranLaw is a boutique private client, commercial and intellectual property law firm, established in April 2024. We were founded with a vision to excel in protecting global brands, elevating New Zealand trusts and supporting companies and not for profits to excel.
We have the lofty goal of being New Zealand's most dynamic law firm. And you could help us get there.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting our AML Team by transitioning data into our Practice Management system
- Scanning and listing client documents in our database
- Supporting the team with other administrative tasks when required
About you:
- You'll be a self-starter who takes initiative to ensure progress
- You won't mind working on repetitive tasks, following process and ensuring accuracy
- You'll be hungry to learn and grow (you never know what opportunities may arise longer term)
- You'll have an interest in private client, commercial and/or IP law
- You'll be able to keep strict confidentiality, given the nature of the work we do
This role would ideally suit a law student, as it's helpful that you have an understanding of the language we use, and there will be additional legal tasks outside of those listed that we may want your help on from time to time. It's a great opportunity to have exposure to a working law firm, and our team of talented legal professionals will be happy to share their learnings with you along the way.
What we offer:
- The opportunity to be part of a dynamic team
- A bright, new, well-equipped office in central Wellington with good coffee and a relaxed environment
- A flexible work environment
- Invaluable experience and exposure to the inner workings of a fast-growth law firm
The role will be approximately 10 hours per week, which can be worked Monday to Friday between 9am - 5pm, to fit in with your studies.
