Amanda is a highly experienced trade mark specialist with a reputation for providing clear and practical advice, while also unlocking the commercial potential of brand assets.  

With nearly 25 years experience, Amanda has worked with clients across all industries including technology, manufacturing, retail, marine, finance and healthcare.  She has a particular interest in FMCG.  She has collaborated with a range of clients from start ups, SMEs, to large multinational corporations.  She advises on every stage of the trade mark life cycle- from clearance to registration, enforcement and portfolio management.

Over Amanda's career, she has worked at a number of top tier IP firms in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.  Most recently, she was Head of Trade Marks at a large New Zealand firm where she led a team of over 50 trade mark specialists, and was responsible for the strategic direction of the team.  This management role gave her valuable insights into some of the challenges and opportunities her own clients face. 

Amanda has been recognised as a leading lawyer by several publications.  She is particularly proud of being named in New Zealand Lawyers Elite Women List for 'making great strides in shaping a new future for the legal sector'.
