About Fergielyn

Fergielyn is a corporate and commercial lawyer, NMAS Accredited Mediator and Professional Member of the Resolution Institute. She brings a practical and solutions-focused approach to her work, with experience spanning dispute resolution, intellectual property and technology.

Before joining MoranLaw, Fergielyn worked as an Investigator at the Banking Ombudsman Scheme, where she investigated disputes, facilitated negotiations between parties, and prepared well-reasoned decisions. Her broader experience across intellectual property and technology, including supporting a start-up technology business, has given her insight into the commercial challenges and opportunities faced by businesses.

Fergielyn holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Classical Studies from Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.

Outside of work, Fergielyn is the co-founder of The Curious Society, a community lecture series bringing together experts and curious minds to explore ideas across business, culture and society. She also enjoys finding any excuse to travel, sing karaoke, and spend time with family and friends.
